In collaboration with the Ministry of Deregulation and State Transformation, Senasa establishes authorizations based on sworn statements and smart inspections.
This is a regulatory simplification initiative promoted by the National Service for Agrifood Health and Quality (Senasa), the Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the National Ministry of Economy, and the Ministry of Deregulation and State Transformation. It eliminates bureaucratic registrations and instead introduces the sworn statement as the main tool for the authorization of products and establishments.
Senasa will verify at the plants that the statements made in the sworn declarations are being fulfilled. It also eliminates expiration or renewal periods for the Single Commercialization Certificates (CUC) and for establishment authorizations, which until now were valid for 10 years.
Specifically, Resolution 1415/24 establishes the requirements for automatic, simplified, and complete authorization by sworn declaration for products, which will be processed online through Senasa’s Integrated Management System (SIG Trámites).
Meanwhile, Resolution 1416/2024 stipulates that manufacturing, packaging, and storage facilities for products intended for animal feed will be authorized to operate through a new platform that will streamline procedures for both the applicants and the official agency.
